This Policy explains how Nüwa handles your data when you create an account, log meals, track hydration, or use artificial intelligence features.

About this policy

Nüwa is a nutrition and wellness app that lets you log meals by text, voice, or photo, track goals, and receive personalized suggestions. We process only the data needed to provide, protect, and improve these features. We do not sell your personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

Data we collect

Account and identity

Your name, email address, and credentials required to create, authenticate, and protect your account.

Profile and goals

Your age, weight, height, goal, wake and sleep times, and water, calorie, and protein targets.

Food and hydration

Meal descriptions, types and times, nutritional estimates, consumption status, and water intake.

Photos you choose to send

Images submitted from your camera or gallery solely to estimate a meal. Sending a photo is optional, and you may use text instead.

Technical and support data

IP address, device, operating system, app version, security logs, and information you provide when contacting support.

How we use your data

  • Create, authenticate, and protect your account.
  • Calculate and let you adjust nutritional goals.
  • Record meals, hydration, and progress.
  • Estimate calories and macronutrients from text or photos.
  • Suggest meals based on your schedule, goal, and remaining targets.
  • Provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Where applicable, we process data to provide the service, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, or based on legitimate interests compatible with your rights. Health and wellness data receives additional protection under Brazil's LGPD and other applicable laws.

Providers and data sharing

Strictly necessary data may be processed by providers acting on our behalf, including cloud infrastructure, database, authentication, security, support, and artificial intelligence services used to analyze meals and generate suggestions. Google Play and the Apple App Store process data under their own policies.

Providers must use data only for the contracted services and under confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose information to comply with a law or valid order, protect rights, or investigate fraud. Some providers may process data outside Brazil; we apply safeguards compatible with applicable laws for international transfers.

How we handle photos

Your photo is transmitted temporarily for automated analysis. Nüwa does not persist the image in its database, create a gallery, or link the photo to your account history. Once the response needed to estimate the meal is produced, the image is discarded from the app flow.

Your camera or gallery is accessed only after an action from you and with device permission. If you deny permission, you can still log meals using text.

Retention and deletion

Account, profile, meal, and hydration data is retained while your account is active or for as long as needed to provide the service. After a verified request, we delete the account and associated data from active systems, except for information whose retention is required by law, security, fraud prevention, or the protection of rights. Residual data in backups follows those systems' secure retention cycle.

Request deletion by email

Send the request from your registered email address.

Email privacy@nuwafit.com with the subject “Delete my Nüwa account.” We may verify your identity to protect your account.

How to delete your account

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request confirmation, access, correction, portability, information about sharing, anonymization, blocking or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email privacy@nuwafit.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

Nüwa is not intended for children under 13. We use reasonable security measures, but no system is completely immune to risk. We may update this Policy when the product, providers, or laws change; the date above identifies the current version.
